Man Utd vs Everton

Man Utd will return to the top of the table with victory over Everton. But they will have to do it without their midfield engine Paul Pogba. Ander Herrera will fill in, while Luke Shaw is also available. United have a fabulous record against the Toffees, having beaten them 33 times in the EPL. It is the second-highest total for one club beating another in the competition (after Man Utd's 34 vs Aston Villa). Romelu Lukaku is hunting for his 90th EPL, and should he do so, will become the fourth-youngest player to reach that landmark. Both matches last season ended in a 1-1 draw, which United won't be hoping for another repeat. They are seeking to win their opening three home league matches for the first time since the 2011/12 season, the Sir Alex Ferguson era that is.

Wayne Rooney, facing his former club, shot wide for Everton in the first half and was denied by David De Gea at the start of the second.

Everton's resistance faded when Henrikh Mkhitaryan doubled the lead, converting Romelu Lukaku's pass on 83 minutes.

Lukaku made up for a missed chance on 26 minutes with an 87th-minute effort from Jesse Lingard's pass.
