Crystal Palace vs Man City

Seeing the manner Man City have torn opposing defences to shreds in recent weeks, many will be saying a silent prayer to Crystal Palace. Despite a managerial change, Palace are still winless and scoreless. They will be hoping they won't join Portsmouth as the only teams to lose their first six matches of a EPL season. They have no new injuries to grapple with and could even hand a start to defender Mamadou Sakho after impressing in midweek. City will assess captain Vincent Kompany, but Ilkay Gundogan continues to struggle with injury. The joint-leaders have won nine of their last 10 EPL outings against Palace, including the last four.

Match Stats:

Sergio Aguero was on target as Manchester City went top of the Premier League table on goal difference after a 5-0 win over Crystal Palace.

Raheem Sterling also scored his fourth and fifth goals of the season to leave Roy Hodgson still seeking his first points as Eagles manager.

Leroy Sane broke the deadlock with a sublime solo finish on 44 minutes. The German controlled a David Silva pass and flicked over the head of Scott Dann before beating Wayne Hennessey from a tight angle.

Sterling then converted twice within eight minutes from crosses by Sane and Aguero.

Aguero headed in Sane's second assist and substitute Fabian Delph curled in from distance to keep Pep Guardiola's side unbeaten.

Man City's superior goal record means they are above Manchester United on 16 points. Palace stay bottom and are only the second team in PL history to lose their first six matches of a season.
