Tottenham vs Bournemouth

It is yet another Wembly outing for Tottenham, and they will be aiming to win a league game there for the first time.
Should they fail to win, they will become the first team in Football League history to win each of their opening four away matches of a league season without winning any of their opening four at home.

Tottenham boss Mauricio Pochettino has branded Man City boss Pep Guardiola 'disrespectful' and guilty of making such a 'sad comment' on describing Spurs as the "Harry Kane team". The truth is, as much as Pochettino would like to deny, is that Kane has scored a bundle of goals for the London outfit. Curiously though, all of Kane's last 13 EPL goals have come away from Wembley.

Erik Lamela, Danny Rose and Mousa Dembele are not considered for selection despite returning to first-team training. Victor Wanyama remains injured.

Match Stats:

  • Corner kicks: 9-5

A goal from Christian Eriksen gave Tottenham Hotspur their first Premier League win at Wembley Stadium, as they edged AFC Bournemouth 1-0.

The visitors had the best chances of the first half.

Junior Stanislas's shot was deflected inches wide before Hugo Lloris superbly stopped what would have been an Eric Dier own goal.

Eriksen made the difference when he slotted in from just inside the box two minutes into the second half for his third goal of 2017/18.

Harry Kane twice came close to his first home goal this season and, although Spurs dominated, they needed Lloris to deny substitute Jermain Defoe late on to confirm the victory.
