Inter Milan vs AC Milan

The incentive for Inter Milan is that a win in this Milan derby will lift them up second in the table, just right behind perfect Napoli. A draw will also suffice, but Inter are all out for victory as they have not prevailed in this derby since a 1-0 win in September 2015. A loss and two 2-2 draws have followed since.

AC Milan are also hoping to take the bragging rights for the first time in seven years as the away team.
Arguably, for all of AC Milan's signings, the best arrival to the fashion capital Milan this summer has been Inter coach Luciano Spalletti. The Nerazzurri appear to be thriving with no European football on the agenda and have won six of their seven league matches with a healthy goal difference of +19.

Inter are at full strength, while Milan will be without their dead ball specialist, Hakan Calhanoglu. If you intend to watch this match, it's best advised to stay till the end. The last two editions finished 2-2 each with an injury time goal, which proved to be the final equaliser.

Captain Mauro Icardi scored a 90th-minute winner from a controversially awarded penalty to complete his hat-trick and give Inter victory in a thrilling Milan derby.

The Argentine kept his cool to slot home after Switzerland defender Ricardo Rodriguez was harshly adjudged to have fouled Danilo D'Ambrosio following a corner.

It capped a night of high drama as AC Milan twice came from behind to level and were moments away from securing a hard-earned point when the penalty was awarded.

While Inter move two points behind Serie A leaders Napoli, whom they meet next Saturday, AC Milan have lost their past three league games to fall 12 points behind their city rivals.
