Liverpool vs Huddersfield

Liverpool have a steady record against newly-promoted sides, losing just one of their last 42 home encounters against them. They will need to continue that fine record if they don't want to fall into the lower half of the table. The Reds sit in 9th place on 13 points, just one more than Huddersfield.

The Terriers produced their biggest win in their maiden EPL season last weekend, a 2-1 home victory over Man Utd. Aaron Mooy, who scored the first goal, has been directly involved in 10 league goals for Huddersfield.

They can now become only the fourth promoted side to beat both Liverpool and Man Utd in the same season.

Liverpool will need to assess the fitness of star player Philippe Coutinho, although Georginio Wijnaldum is set to return.

Liverpool scored three second-half goals to overcome Huddersfield Town 3-0 at Anfield.

The Reds, who lost Dejan Lovren to an injury in the warm-up, were awarded a penalty five minutes before half-time but Mohamed Salah's spot-kick was saved by Jonas Lossl.

But Liverpool did break the deadlock five minutes after the restart, when Daniel Sturridge lobbed the ball over the goalkeeper.

Roberto Firmino extended the lead with a header from James Milner's corner before Georginio Wijnaldum completed the scoring with 15 minutes remaining, firing a right-footed shot into the top corner.
