Chelsea vs Man Utd
6 Nov, Monday, 00:30am

Big Match Preview:
Get set for another installment of the league's fiercest rivalry at the dugout!

It's Jose Mourinho versus Antonio Conte. Just a year ago, Chelsea squashed Man Utd 4-0, the fourth goal prompting a celebration from Conte. Mourinho didn't take kindly to that, telling the Italian in the ear, "You don't celebrate like that at 4-0."

With Man City threatening to run away with the league, a draw will do collateral damage for both teams here. Man Utd are second on 23 points, five behind City. Chelsea are fourth, already nine points off the pace.

Chelsea's home record against Man Utd is an impressive one with just one defeat in their last 15 EPL matchups at Stamford Bridge. That odd win was back in October 2012, United dishing out a thrilling 3-2 victory. That signaled the beginning of the end of then-manager Roberto Di Matteo's reign.

Two former Chelsea players will make a trip back to the Bridge as part of the United set-up. One is Nemanja Matic, while the other is Juan Mata.

The Spaniard believes the side's focus is fully on this crucial trip.

"There's not revenge on my mind. They are totally different games, what happened last season, happened last season and now we have to think in the present," said the winger.

"There is a lot of pressure around the game but obviously we will try to play our best football and come back to Manchester with three points."

Both teams had contrasting fortunes in the Champions League in midweek. Chelsea lost 3-0 to Roma, while United beat Benfica 2-0.

Big Team news:
Man Utd's midfield crisis is not letting up with Paul Pogba, Michael Carrick, Marouane Fellaini still sidelined. Jesse Lingard has added to Mourinho's problems too after he took a painful blow to his back in the 2-0 win over Benfica in the Champions League.

Meanwhile, Chelsea will be boosted by the return of influential midfielder N'Golo Kante, who has twice scored for the Blues in this fixture (once in the league and again in the FA Cup). Victor Moses is likely to miss out after picking up an injury in Rome.

Big Stats:
Big Stat 1: United have scored 21% of the total EPL goals scored in the final 10 minutes of matches this season.
Big Stat 2: Man Utd substitutes have scored seven goals this season, a EPL high.
Big Stat 3: Alvaro Morata has been involved in nine goals in his nine EPL games this season

Fastgoal's prediction:
Chelsea 2-1 Man Utd

Alvaro Morata scored his seventh goal of the season as Chelsea earned a 1-0 victory over Manchester United at Stamford Bridge.

Tiemoue Bakayoko twice came close for the dominant hosts before a Phil Jones own goal was ruled out for a push by Morata.

Marcus Rashford headed Ashley Young's cross over but Chelsea were worthy of their victory.

It came courtesy of Morata, who powered Cesar Azpilicueta's pinpoint cross in on 55 minutes; the fifth time the two Spaniards have combined for a goal by the striker.

Marouane Fellaini was thwarted late on by Thibaut Courtois and Rashford drove a free-kick just over but Chelsea held on for a 10th win in 16 PL encounters with United.

The Blues move to within a point of Jose Mourinho's second-placed side.
