Deportivo vs Atletico Madrid

Atletico Madrid are in urgent need of a pick-me-up after yet another disappointing display in the Champions League.

A 1-1 home draw against Qarabag has left Simeone's men on the brink of elimination from the competition and their league form hasn't lived up to the billing either. A home draw against Villarreal last time out with another goal conceded from a set-piece saw them drift below city rivals Real Madrid and leaders Barcelona.

Deportivo, meanwhile, picked up a big win on the road last time out in Cristobal Parralo's first league game in charge, coming from behind to beat fellow strugglers Las Palmas 3-1.

Deportivo have four players ruled out with Bicho, Ruben Martinez, Adrian Lopez and Carles Gil all confirmed out. Gil will be out until at least January.

Diego Simeone has three injury concerns heading into this one with Filipe Luis, Koke and Yannick Carrasco confirmed out. All three will be a big loss but Atletico are likely to cope by shifting Saul Niguez wide and bringing in Lucas at fullback.
