Liverpool vs Chelsea
26 Nov, Sunday, 1:30am

Big Match Preview:
A huge battle at Anfield this will be as both teams jostle to stay in the title hunt. Liverpool are fifth on 22 points, three behind Chelsea.

The Reds are unbeaten in their last five EPL meetings with Chelsea (W2, D3), but the Blues have a fine recent record at Anfield with no defeats (W2, D3) in their last five EPL visits there.

It brings together a showdown between two of the league's in-form players too. Alvaro Morata has been involved in 12 Chelsea goals - eight strikes, four assists - in his first 11 EPL matches, while former Chelsea player Mohamed Salah has enjoyed a blistering start to life at Anfield.

The Egyptian winger has nine EPL goals, the most by any Liverpool player in their first 12 appearances in this league. Salah is also currently the league's leading scorer, trailed by a bunch of players, including Morata, with eight goals.

When it comes to this season, the form guide is a bright one to read. Liverpool have conceded just one goal in their past eight EPL games at Anfield, keeping seven clean sheets in this run.

Chelsea have won 10 of their last 12 away EPL matches, including a 4-0 thumping of West Brom last weekend.

The fatigue factor will come into play as Chelsea were in action in far-flung Azerbaijan a day after Liverpool threw away a three-goal lead in the Champions League.

Big Team news:
Liverpool are boosted by the fitness of Sadio Mane, who started against Southampton, and their 3-3 draw with Sevilla in midweek.

The only other absentees are right-back Nathaniel Clyne who is out until next year, and third-choice keeper Adam Bogdan.
Antonio Conte confirmed Eden Hazard is fit for the game, despite Michy Batshuayi and Victor Moses being missing.

Big Stats:
Big Stat 1: The previous three league and cup meetings at Anfield have ended in 1-1 draws
Big Stat 2: Chelsea have earned 118 EPL points under Antonio Conte
Big Stat 3: Philippe Coutinho has the third-most assists (31) for Liverpool in the EPL.

Fastgoal Prediction: Liverpool 3-2 Chelsea

Match Stats:

  • Liverpool 1-1 Chelsea
  • Shots: 16-11
  • Possession: 53%-47%
  • Corner kicks: 7-8

A late goal from Willian earned Chelsea a 1-1 draw against Liverpool at Anfield.

The substitute hit a cross-cum-shot that beat Simon Mignolet with five minutes remaining to cancel out Mohamed Salah's goal against his former club.

Salah gave a much-changed Liverpool side the lead on 65 minutes, scoring a PL-high 10th goal of the season from Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain's assist.

Liverpool were on course for a win that would have taken them fourth, level with their opponents, until Willian struck.

Just two minutes after coming off the bench the Brazilian scored to extend Chelsea's unbeaten run at Anfield to six matches.
