Cagliari vs Inter Milan

Inter Milan Coach Luciano Spalletti has himself a full squad to pick from, and his secret formula lies in working around a core of just 15 players. A win will send Inter top temporarily - that's until Napoli play on the next day.

Mauro Icardi has to be the man brought into mention here. The Argentine goal machine is one of the deadliest fox in the box strikers in the business, his two stealthily taken headers against Atalanta proving that the opposing team can't take their eyes off him for a second.

Cagliari are on a decent run themselves, winning three of their last five games, although two of those came against bottom sides Benevento and Verona.

Inter have won their last four Serie A visits to Sardinia and lost here only once since 1993, a 2-1 result in May 2009.

Cagliari put in a very impressive performance, but could not compete with the clinical finishing of Mauro Icardi, as Inter left Sardinia with a 3-1 result.

The Nerazzurri temporarily go top awaiting Napoli's result tomorrow, but the Sardinians were fired up after the arrival of Coach Diego Lopez with nine points from the previous four games. Marco Sau missed out, but that was the only absentee for the two teams, who fielded unchanged XIs.

Inter have now won their last five Serie A visits to Sardinia and lost here only once since 1993, a 2-1 result in May 2009.
