Man City vs West Ham

What else can be said of the rampaging Man City side? Their winning run is now at 12 matches with the other Chelsea (13 in 2016/17) and Arsenal (13 in 2001/02) two teams to go on longer winning runs with a EPL season.

And it looks good as West Ham drop by at the Etihad Stadium for a visit. Man City have won nine of their 11 EPL matches, scoring in each meeting at the stadium.

West Ham's only win here came in September 2015. Curiously, that result ended City's then-record 11 straight EPL victories.

Winger Leroy Sane is back in training for City after illness but Pep Guardiola has hinted at further rotation of his squad.

West Ham are still without Chicharito (thigh), Andy Carroll (knee) and Jose Fonte (ankle). Winston Reid (hamstring) is to be assessed and Joe Hart is ineligible against his parent club.

Prediction: Man City 4-1 West Ham

A late David Silva goal extended Manchester City's winning run in the league to 13 matches, equalling the Premier League record in a single season.

The midfielder converted Kevin De Bruyne's sublime cross with seven minutes remaining as City came from behind to beat West Ham United 2-1 at the Etihad Stadium.

The match seemed to heading for a draw after Angelo Ogbonna's header just before half-time was cancelled out by Nicolas Otamendi's close-range goal on 57 minutes.

Manchester City piled on the pressure and after Adrian made a string of saves from Leroy Sane and substitute Gabriel Jesus, he was beaten when Silva diverted De Bruyne's cross into the net.

Diafra Sakho missed a late chance to equalise for the visitors but Man City held on to maintain their eight-point lead at the top of the table, while West Ham remain in the bottom three, three points from safety.
