Bolton vs Huddersfield

Bolton have eliminated Huddersfield in all their five previous FA Cup meetings. The last edition, though, was in January 1976, more than forty years ago!

Entering the FA Cup as a top-flight side for the first time since 1972, Huddersfield have progressed from eight of their past nine ties against lower league opposition.

Bolton are without four midfielders as they prepare to face Premier League side Huddersfield in the FA Cup.

Darren Pratley (broken leg) and Karl Henry (hamstring) are out, Josh Vela is ill and Josh Cullen has been recalled.

Huddersfield will rest goalkeeper Jonas Lossl and start Joel Coleman, while on-loan Monaco defender Terence Kongolo could make his debut.

Philip Billing could feature after three months out with an ankle injury and Michael Hefele is also fit.

Prediction: Bolton 1-1 Huddersfield

Huddersfield scored two goals in two second-half minutes to beat Championship side Bolton and progress to the FA Cup fourth round.

After a dull first half, substitute Rajiv van la Parra gave the Premier League side the lead when he bundled in from close range following a corner.

And straight from kick-off, Danny Williams' deflected 30-yard strike caught out the Bolton goalkeeper.

Derik Osede gave Bolton hope, heading in a corner, but Huddersfield held on.
