Man City vs Burnley

Pep Guardiola is worried that Man City have more matches than they can cope with as they continue their hunt for an incredible quadruple.

His side played nine matches during December and face at least seven during January -- if they reach the finals of the Champions League, FA Cup and League Cup, they will have played a minimum of 63 games by the end of the season.

Man City have faced Burnley on three previous occasions in this competition, winning twice and drawing one.

City, last season's beaten semi-finalists, have advanced to the fourth round in each of their last five campaigns, beating West Ham 5-0 most recently in 2016/17.

City are still without captain Vincent Kompany (calf) for their FA Cup third-round tie with Burnley.

David Silva could miss the game for personal reasons, while Kyle Walker is an injury doubt.

Burnley are expected to be without midfielder Scott Arfield (hamstring).

Defender Stephen Ward (knee) and striker Chris Wood (leg) are recovering from injury but will not play this weekend.

Prediction: Man City 2-1 Burnley

Match Stats:

  • Man City 4-1 Burnley
  • Shots: 20-8
  • Possession: 77%-23%
  • Corner kicks: 8-5

Sergio Aguero scored twice in two second-half minutes to help Premier League leaders Manchester City fight back to beat Burnley and reach the FA Cup fourth round.

A John Stones mistake let in Ashley Barnes to give Burnley a surprise lead.

However, Aguero levelled from a quickly-taken free-kick and made it 2-1 from Ilkay Gundogan's back-heel.

Leroy Sane ran on to David Silva's pass to add the third before Bernardo Silva slotted the fourth into an empty net.

City's win stretched their domestic unbeaten run to 26 games this season and keeps alive their chances of winning four trophies.
