AC Milan vs Lazio

With seven points bagged from the last three games, Gennaro Gattuso has also won the admiration of Milan legend Paolo Maldini. The Iconic defender has claimed that Gattuso's work is "bearing fruit".

That claim will face its sternest test yet when Lazio drop by Milan for a visit. Lazio have scored 53 goals this season, only surpassed by Man City, Barcelona and PSG across Europe's major leagues!

As things stand, Lazio, managed by former player Simone Inzaghi, are three points clear of Inter in third place and heading for the Champions League.

What's worrying though is that league-leading striker Ciro Immboile is in doubt for the San Siro showdown. Immobile, who has 20 league goals, limped off against Chievo last weekend with a muscular injury and sat out Wednesday's 3-0 win over Udinese.

Incredibly, Lazio last won here in September 1989, a 1-0 victory decided by a Paolo Maldini own goal. 11 draws and 16 defeats have followed since!

Both teams will meet again in the Italian Cup semi-final on Wednesday.

Prediction: AC Milan 1-1 Lazio

Giacomo Bonaventura scored the winner as in-form AC Milan recorded a third successive Serie A victory by beating high-flying Lazio 2-1.

Midfielder Bonaventura settled a tight contest at the San Siro with a bullet header past Thomas Strakosha a minute before the break.

Italy Under-21 forward Patrick Cutrone had earlier nodded Milan ahead before they were quickly pegged back by a fine finish from Lazio midfielder Adam Marusic.
