Real Madrid come from a heartbreaking 2-2 draw versus Levante last week. Something just isn't clicking for Los Blancos, and Zinedine Zidane must figure out how to change that quickly with the Champions League tie versus Paris Saint Germain looming just around the corner.

Real Sociedad come to the Santiago Bernabeu after trampling Deportivo La Coruña 5-0 on Friday. This match will be more of a test for the 'txuri urdin' side.

Real Madrid have been made to pay for their defensive woes this season; and unlike the past campaign, they have not gotten the last minute heroics from Sergio Ramos and company. In fact, Real Madrid have conceded a surprising amount of goals at the end of matches that have resulted in lost points.

Real Sociedad are somewhat unfortunate to find themselves in the bottom half of the table. They have shown up to play in their big matches, but unfortunately have come up short more often than not. They have scored 41 goals this year--only Barcelona, Real Madrid and Valencia have more. On the other hand, their defense could be better, as they have conceded 40.

La Real will try to steal this one from Los Blancos, but most likely it will be the Madrid side who win all three points in this one.

Prediction: Real Madrid 3-1 Real Sociedad

Real Madrid trampled Real Sociedad in the Santiago Bernabeu.

The hosts scored their first goal in the 45th second of the match. Cristiano Ronaldo sent a cross into the box from the left flank. Lucas Vazquez had to correct his run to meet the cross, but did so perfectly; he beautifully headed the ball towards goal and past goalkeeper Geronimo Rulli.

In the 27th minute, Madrid had their second. Marco Asensio sent Marcelo free down the left side, the Brazilian cut the ball back towards an unmarked Ronaldo, who slotted home his ninth goal of the season.

It wouldn't take long for Los Blancos to find their third. Toni Kroos splendidly curled a shot past Rulli. This was quickly turning into a blood bath.

Three minutes later, Ronaldo would add to his and Madrid's tally. Luka Modric sent a corner in from the right and Cristiano rose up to it and nodded into the back of the net.

Coach Eusebio Sacristan must have given Real Sociedad a good pep talk at halftime, as they came out in the second half more organized. Sociedad had an opportunity to save face in the 55th minute. Alvaro Odriozola sent in a cross for Juanmi, but his header went wide.

Sociedad's first goal came in the 74th minute. Jon Bautista took advantage of some poor defending by Raphael Varane and received a through ball from Mikel Oyarzabal. Bautista took a touch to leave Varane in his wake before firing past Keylor Navas.

Rulli made a blunder in the 80th minute attempting to save Gareth Bale's shot, and Cristiano Ronaldo was there to stab the ball in the net to get his hat trick.

Two minutes later, Asier Illarramendi got another goal back for Sociedad. Oyarzabal sent a cross into the box and it was flicked on by Juanmi. Illarramendi was first to it and volleyed the ball into the net.

Great result for Real Madrid as they look forward to their Champions Leage tie against PSG in midweek.
