Paris Saint Germain are running away with the Ligue 1 title this year. After losing it to Monaco last season, their desire is to stomp on every adversary and reclaim it with aplomb. They hold an 11 point lead over second placed Marseille, but coach Unai Emery will warn his men against being complacent. Surely PSG's players will be thinking about the Champions League clash versus Real Madrid next week, but Emery will remind them they have to face this foe first.

Toulouse racked up back to back wins after defeating Troyes and Nice in the previous two match days. However, they now face the crème de la crème and will have their work cut out for them. Toulouse are only a point above the relegation zone and are willing to fight tooth and nail to avoid going down to Ligue 2 for next season.

PSG faced some criticism this week because of Neymar's extravagant birthday celebrations. Some believe that his three consecutive days of partying were a sign of disrespect toward Toulouse, a way of saying he didn't take them seriously or believe they would mount a challenge against him and his Parisian teammates. We'll see on Sunday how Toulouse responds to this on the pitch.

PSG's season has been a cake walk so far. Toulouse will not pose much of a threat to the Parisian side.

Goalkeeper Alban Lafont was the man of the match for Toulouse as he singlehandedly kept Toulouse in this game; but in the end his efforts were in vain, as Paris Saint Germain emerged victorious over Toulouse with a score of 1-0.

Lafont is only 19, but he looked like a seasoned veteran today. He began his heroics in the 5th minute. After a PSG corner, Neymar crossed the ball across the face of goal and it reached Presnel Kimpembe. The center back took a powerful shot but Lafont put his body in front of it, denying him the opportunity to open the scoring.

Lafont was called into action again in the 12th minute when Giovani Lo Celso directed a shot on target. Once again, the goalkeeper was up to the task and made the save.

Toulouse had a great chance in the 25th minute when Max-Alain Gradel intercepted a PSG pass and raced up the left sideline, leaving Dani Alves behind in his tracks. Gradel crossed the ball to Yaya Sanogo, who rose up for a header, but Alphonse Areola did well to make the save.

Kylian Mbappe dribbled into the area and tried his luck at goal in the 27th minute, only to be thwarted by Lafont.

Lafont was everywhere today. He didn't just make save after save, he rose up to intercept crosses into the box as well. As he did with a 30th minute cross by Di Maria.

In the 39th minute Neymar was sure he was going to get a goal, but Lafont had the last laugh, making a save on the Brazilian's shot.

PSG finally got its goal in the 68th minute. After a breaking up a Toulouse counter attack the ball reached Di Maria on the right side. He swung the ball across the field to Neymar, who took on his defender and juked him to earn enough space to take a shot. The ball deflected off the back leg of a Toulouse defender, leaving Lafont wrong-footed. It was great skill shown by Neymar, but a heartbreaking way to see Lafont concede a goal after the brilliant performance he had put on so far.

Neymar would go for goal again in the 78th minute, but his strike hit the woodwork. In the 80th minute the Brazilian saw another shot rattle the crossbar.

Julian Draxler challenged Lafont with a shot from inside the box, but the young Frenchman once again prevented the ball from going into the net.

It was an unfortunate outcome for Lafont after his inspired performance today. PSG are now three points closer to claiming the Ligue 1 title.
