Roma recently went through a streak of bad results, which lead to Juventus and Napoli escape their grasp in Serie A. The Giallorossi were legitimate title contenders during the first half of the season; however, they flamed out recently and are now barely even in the top four. Roma managed to go seven weeks without a victory which left them all but out of the title race. Their goal now is to secure a top four finish and qualify for next year's Champions League.

When Massimo Oddo became coach, Udinese pulled off six wins in seven matches. However, their luck changed drastically, and are now enduring a streak of only one win in their last six matches. Udinese are in 10th place, but only eight points away from a European qualification spot. If they have any hopes of playing in Europe next year, they must start pulling off wins.

Given both teams' current form, Udinese don't seem likely to keep any points at the Dacia Arena this weekend. Roma looks like it has been reborn after back to back wins and should take all three points back to Rome with them. Roma's only road loss this season came at the hands of Juventus.

Roma move up to third place in Serie A after defeating Udinese 2-0 away.

The first 15 minutes were a back and forth affair. Both teams reached the opponent's area and put crosses in, but neither really tested the other's goalkeeper. Cengiz Under started off slow for Roma, but his play would pick up as the game went on. He would be key for the capital club in this match.

In the 24th minute, Under tested goalkeeper Albano Bizzarri. The goalkeeper did well to parry the shot away.

Roma had their best chance of the first half in the 35th minute. Radja Nainggolan sent Stephan El Shaarawy clear on goal with a pass, but the young Italian was denied by Bizzarri. It was a great save by the goalkeeper.

Udinese had a couple of opportunities to open the scoring but a Seko Fofana shot from distance went just wide and goalkeeper Alisson came up big to deny Stipe Perica in the 51st minute.

Under scored a fantastic goal in the 70th minute, firing a left footed shot past Bizarri and into the back of the net. Under now has four goals in his last three games for Roma.

Rodrigo De Paul almost tied the score, but Alisson was there to deny the Argentinian's shot at the front post.

Il Giallorossi put the game away in stoppage time. Gregoire Defrel stole the ball from Fofana near midfield and passed the ball to Nainggolan. The Belgian sent a through ball to Diego Perotti, who calmly finished past Bizzarri.
