Paris Saint Germain will look to avenge a 2-1 loss to Strasbourg in the first half of the season when the two sides meet on Sunday in the Parc des Princes. The loss to Strasbourg is one of only two losses that PSG has endured all season in Ligue 1. After a tough loss to Real Madrid in the Champions League in mid week, PSG will want to earn a win and get the job done domestically to secure the league title as soon as possible.

Edinson Cavani was rested last week versus Toulouse. The Uruguayan leads Ligue 1 in scoring and will want to add to his tally. PSG will come out guns blazing to try to settle the match early and keep all three points in Paris. Strasbourg will have to deal with the three headed dragon of Cavani, Neymar, and Kylian Mbappe which will lead the line on Saturday. Seeing those three names on the team sheet must be terrifying for any defense.

Strasbourg are an up and down team. They are a formidable squad at home, but a rather sorry one away. It will be a herculean task for them to earn any points in this match considering they face the juggernaut that is PSG in the Parc des Princes.

Prediction: Paris Saint Germain 3-0 Strasbourg

Paris Saint Germain had won all 12 home games this season and maintained their perfect record after defeating Strasbourg 5-2 at the Parc des Princes.

Strasbourg became the first team to defeat PSG when they emerged 2-1 victors in December. They seemed to be on their way to shocking the leaders again when they went ahead following a Jean Aholou strike.

However, the euphoria lasted only four minutes, as Julian Draxler pounced on a deflected Layvin Kurzawa cross and buried it into the bottom left corner.

PSG took the lead in the 21st minute when Giovani Lo Celso sent Neymar through. Goalkeeper Alexandre Oukidja saved the initial shot but Neymar recovered the rebound and tapped the ball into the net from three meters out.

From the ensuing kickoff, Angel Di Maria stripped the ball from Pablo Martinez at the edge of the penalty box. Di Maria calmly finished the ball past the helpless Oukidja to give PSG a 3-1 lead.

Strasbourg cut the lead to 3-2 in the 67th minute after a counterattack. Nuno da Costa passed the ball to Stephane Bahoken who finished fantastically from outside the box.

Once again, the Strasbourg euphoria would last a short amount of time, as six minutes later Javier Pastore slid a pass to Edinson Cavani who cheekily chipped the ball over Oukidja to restore a two goal lead.

Cavani scored his second goal of the match after receiving a fantastic through ball from Neymar and once again lobbing Oukidja. Another great finish by the Uruguayan put the match's final goal on the scoreboard.
