Paris Saint Germain have dominated Ligue 1 this season; racking up an incredible 68 points in 26 matches. Their closest pursuers are Monaco with 56 points. With 12 matches left to play, PSG has the title in the bag. This week's Parc des Princes visitors are Olympique Marseille, another Ligue 1 powerhouse club. If anybody can challenge Les Parisiens in a match, its one of Monaco, Lyon, or l'OM.

PSG continue to assert their supremacy France, but Real Madrid proved two weeks ago that they can be defeated. Coach Unai Emery was outwitted by Zinedine Zidane in that match; l'OM can count on their own tactician, Rudi Garcia, to try to best the Spaniard's gameplan. Luckily for Emery, all of his star players are available for this match. The capital club have turned the Parc des Princes into a fortress, winning all 13 matches played at home.

Marseille defeated Bordeaux last weekend in a very contested match. They are determined to finish in the top three to book their place in next year's Champions League. They might be over their heads in this match though, with PSG presenting too much firepower for l'OM to handle.

The two sides will face each other in the French Cup in midweek. Fans will be treated to two classic matches just days apart.

Prediction: Paris Saint Germain 3-2 Marseille

Paris Saint Germain easily defeated Olympique Marseille in Le Classique at the Parc des Princes.

Unfortunately for PSG, though, they saw their star signing Neymar leave on a stretcher with an apparent ankle injury. The Brazilian seemed to have rolled his ankle in the final 15 minutes of the match and could be seen in quite some pain as he was helped off the field.

It was their other big name signing from the summer that opened the scoring in the 10th minute. Kylian Mbappe scored his 10th goal of the season when he picked up a pass from Dani Alves, cut to his left foot and fired the ball into the net.

Alves was quite involved in PSG's offense. He created another opportunity with a cross into the box, but Neymar's header went wide. Alves suffered a hard challenge from Lucas Ocampos in the 20th minute that the Paraguay international should have seen red for, but instead he was only booked.

PSG doubled their lead when Adrien Rabiot pulled the ball back for Neymar. The Brazilian got a shot off but it was diverted by Rolando, who unfortunately put it in his own net.

Neymar tried to get on the score sheet with a shot from 25 meters out, but he curled it just wide. Instead of getting a goal himself, he turned provider 10 minutes into the second half when he dribbled past several defenders on the left flank and crossed to Edinson Cavani. The Uruguayan striker controlled the ball beautifully, turned, and fired home his 24th Ligue 1 goal this season.

PSG notched their 23rd Ligue 1 win from 27 matches and extended their lead at the top to 14 points with this victory. Marseille remain in third place, two points behind Monaco, in the final Champions League qualification spot. These two clubs will faceoff in a few days in the Coupe de France. Marseille will look to get their revenge in midweek, especially with Neymar likely to miss out because of the ankle knock he picked up today.
