Fifth plays ninth in one of the big games on Match Day 32 as Inter Milan travel to Atalanta.

Atalanta only really have an outside chance of making the European spots. Sitting just four points off sixth though it is by no means an impossible task. They can't afford too many slip ups though and face a tough home game here. Andrea Petagna is suspended for this game and with four goals and five assists this season will be a miss. Not as big a miss as top scorer Josip Ilicic though who is also out.

Inter Milan certainly don't lack for motivation having been bumped out of the Champions League positions last week. The Nerazzurri now sit in fifth spot but just one point adrift of Roma in fourth. No injuries of note for Inter here but Marcelo Brozivic is suspended.

We still aren't entirely sure how Inter managed to lose at Torino last week having bossed the game. That was really symptomatic of their away form overall of late though. Having won five of their first seven on the road, they have now won only one of their past nine.

Atalanta have scored either 0 or 1 goals in five of their past six home games. That must be a big concern considering they are without two of their most potent attackers going into this. Take Inter for the away win.

Prediction: Atalanta 0 - 2 Inter Milan

The players troubled referee Daniele Doveri's notebook more than the scoresheet here. Rafael Toloi, Mattia Caldara, Andrea Masiello and Gianluca Mancini being booked for the home side and Miranda and Borja Valero seeing yellow for Inter.

The home side shaded the stats here, but Inter probably had the better of the opportunities over all.

How Atalanta's Alejandro Gomes managed to not even hit the target when one on one with Samir Handanovic in just the seventh minute only he knows. It may have come early but that wasn't far off being the best chance of the game.

Inter's two best chances of the opening half both fell to Ivan Perisic. Firstly, when latching onto a long ball in the left hand corner of the box and firing a good effort towards goal. Etrit Berisha doing well to palm over. Not long after, this time breaking into the right-hand side of the area, he beat the keeper but also unfortunately the far post.

Not much to report in the second period. Perisic did come close to winning it at the end but having missed one with his left and one with his right, this time he headed narrowly wide. Not his night. 0-0 final score.

Not a great result for Inter this and they remain outside of the top four places, albeit only on head to head records. With third placed Lazio playing fourth placed Roma this week, the promised land of the Champions League will still be within sight at the end of this week's games.

This point wasn't really all that much good to Atalanta either. They remain three points off the Europa League places, with their two main rivals Fiorentina and AC Milan playing tomorrow.
