EPL SEASON PREVIEW - Everton

The Manager: Marco Silva
As effective as Big Sam Allardyce was at Everton last term, it soon became apparent that fans of the Toffee's weren't particularly enamoured with his style of play. Ex Watford boss Marco Silva is the man called upon to replace the outgoing Allardyce, in a choice which surprised some in the game. More entertaining football and a top eight finish at least are what is expected.

The Squad:
Last season's top scorer Wayne Rooney is the big departure of the summer, as Silva looks to create a more youthful Everton side. Former Watford man Ricarlison has been brought in to add to Everton';s attacking options. He, Theo Walcott and Dominic Calvert-Lewin will certainly bring plenty of pace on the counter whilst Cenk Tosun will be expected to build on his encouraging start and grab the goals.
The signing of Lucas Digne adds a dose of international class to the back line which looks solid enough with the likes of Michael Keane, Phil Jagielka and Leighton Baines remaining in the squad.
Everton also have plenty of options in the centre of the park and if record signing Gylfi Sigurddson can stay fit this season they look to have a well-rounded side.

Star Man: Cenk Tosun
We expect a big year from the Turkish international this year. Now 27, Tosun is entering the prime of his career and showed enough in his 14 appearances last season to suggest he can be a force in this league. Strong, intelligent and good in the air, he has all the attributes required to be a success and should thrive in Marco Silva's more attacking system.

Outlook:
It's always tough to predict how a side will fare under a new manager. Had Everton not had such a terrible start last season they would likely have bettered their eighth place position. Whilst they have improved summer, they haven't done so as dramatically as some of their rivals and will likely end up in the upper reaches of mid table once again.

Premier League Prediction: 8th
