It is Real Madrid who top the table at this early stage of the season. Next up it's a home game against Leganes as Julen Lopetegui's men bid to make it three wins from as many games.

Whereas Madrid have started the season in good style, it has been something of a stuttering start for Manuel Pellegrino's Leganes outfit; firstly losing away at Bilbao before drawing at home to Real Sociedad. That draw does come with some merit though as they had to show character to come from two goals down. As ever they will be huge underdogs here.

Not many injury concerns for Real Madrid, with Jesús Vallejo the only confirmed absentee.

Leganes will be missing Alexander Szymanowski through injury and Andriy Lunin who can't play due to being on loan from Real Madrid.

Leganes succumbed to Real Madrid in both league encounters last season, losing this game 2-1 and going down 3-1 at home. They did however famously dump Real out of the cup when winning 2-1 here in January.

We have liked what we have seen from Real so far this season and they can only continue to improve as Benzema, Bale and Asensio become more attuned to playing in a front three together on a regular basis. We expect a dominant display from the home side here and see Real bossing possession and ultimately running out comfortable winners.

Prediction: Real Madrid 3 - 0 Leganes

Half time: 1 - 1
Full time: 4 - 1

One booking for each side at the Bernabeu. Luka Modric having his name taken by referee Santiago Jaime Latre for Real Madrid and Michael Santos doing likewise for Leganes.

Another game, another goal for Gareth Bale as the Welshman seems intent on single-handedly filling the void left by Cristiano Ronaldo. A ball from midway inside the Leganes half finding Daniel Carvajal arriving beyond the far post. The full back doing well to nod the ball back to Bale around eight yards out. Bale didn't seem to make the cleanest contact on the volley and the keeper got a hand to it, but in it went for his third goal in as many games.

It was Leganes who struck next in the 24th minute. Awarded a penalty kick, Guido Carrillo stepped up and made no mistake, beating Thibaut Courtois to find the bottom right corner. 1-1 at the break.

Real turned it up a notch in the second half though and just about blew Leganes away. Karim Benzema restored the home sides advantage in the 48th minute. Lovely cross from Asensio on the left to pick out Benzema who held off his marker before planting a header into the bottom left, The referee initially chalked this out for a foul, but upon consultation with VAR the goal stood.

Benzema grabbed his second of the night in the 61st minute. Lovely interplay between Marcelo, Benzema and Modric on the edge of the area, ending in Benzema finishing back across the keeper and into the bottom left from around twenty yards.

Sergio Ramos rounded off the scoring in the 66th minute from the spot. Waiting for the keeper to move before finishing into the right-hand side. 4-1 final score.
