Chelsea head back into Premier League action this coming weekend as they bid to maintain their 100% start to the season. On paper at least this ought to Maurizio Sarri's easiest task to date as winless Cardiff City are the visitors to Stamford Bridge. Things aren't always so straightforward in the Premier League though.

Chelsea haven't exactly been scintillating in their games so far, looking suspect defensively against Arsenal in particular. It's wins which count in this league though and in that regard they have certainly been effective.

It's plain to see where Cardiff City's problems lie with the Bluebirds having failed to score in three of their four league games so far. They opened up a little against Arsenal at home in their last game and promptly conceded three. It may be back to Plan A here.

Ruben Loftus-Cheek is definitely out for the home side, with Cesc Fabregas also unlikely to be ready in time.

Cardiff must make do without Aron Gunnarsson and Nathaniel Mendez-Laing.

This looks a mismatch in just about every area of the pitch. Cardiff will no doubt attempt to park the bus here in an effort to stay in the game for as long as possible and perhaps sneak a point; a strategy which Newcastle United nearly pulled off earlier in the season. We just don't see Neil Warnock's men holding out though, particularly away from home. This should be a comfortable home victory.

No cards in this one as the players kept on the right side of referee Jonathan Moss throughout.

Other than a shock early goal for the visitors, this one went almost entirely as expected as one of the contenders for the Premier League title swept the floor with a side expected to be battling relegation throughout this season.

It was however Cardiff who took the lead in the 16th minute. A lofted ball into the area being flicked on by Sean Morrison, allowing Sol Bamba to stab home a volley from a few yards. Could we have a shock on the cards?

From there on in it was all Chelsea as they laid siege to the Cardiff goal. They were back on level terms in the 39th minute. Eden Hazard beating his man to the right-hand side before arrowing a low strike into the bottom left hand corner from the edge of the eighteen-yard box.

Chelsea took the lead in the 44th minute, Lovely interplay between Pedro, Olivier Giroud and Hazard ending with the Belgian magician firing in via a big deflection from the edge of the six-yard box on the left. 2-1 at half time.

Hazard grabbed his hat-trick in the 80th minute. Stepping up to fire a penalty kick into the right-hand side, capping a fine display.

Still time for one more. And it was just about the best of the lot. Willian receiving the ball just outside the box and teeing himself up before placing an excellent volley into the top right corner.

Five games, Five wins. Maurizio Sarri's Chelsea are top of the league.
