A real big one in La Liga this weekend as the domestic action returns flowing the international break, as current league leaders Sevilla travel to the Camp Nou to take on defending champions Barcelona.

Barcelona have held the edge in this fixture of late, winning this game 3-0 last season, beating Sevilla 5-0 in the Spanish Cup Final and coming out on top 2-1 in the Super Cup. Sevilla did claim a point against Lionel Messi and co at home in the league though.

Having won there opening four La Liga outings with the minimum of fuss all appeared to be ticking along nicely for Barcelona. Things haven't been quite so good since though with Barca now having failed to win in four consecutive league games. They will be bidding to get back to winning ways here but face a tough task against the side who have replaced them atop the La Liga table.

Sevilla didn't begin the season in the best of form, with just one win in their opening four. They have certainly found their stride now though with André Silva slotting in excellently up front and banging in the goals.

Barcelona have problems at the back with both Samuel Umtiti and Thomas Vermaelen out for this clash. Maxime Gonalons and Ibrahim Amadou miss out for Sevilla.

Form and momentum are on the side of Sevilla. Barcelona are unbeaten in their past 35 La Liga outings at home though. We see this ending in a high scoring draw.

Just the one booking at Camp Nou with referee Juan Martinez Munuera issuing the yellow to Tomas Vaclik of Sevilla.

Barcelona really needed a win and a decent performance here and they got it against this in form Sevilla side. The visitors did just shade the possession - no mean feat here against the champions - but it was Barcelona who possessed the greater cutting edge on the night and ran out deserved winners.

A dream start for Barcelona who flew out of the traps to establish a two goal cushion after just twelve minutes. Slipped in just inside the area by Lionel Messi, Philippe Coutinho made no mistake to find the top right corner.

Sevilla nearly struck back immediately when denied by the foot of the post but Barca's second soon arrived. Played in by Luis Suarez down the right-hand side Messi drifted inside towards the edge of the area before finishing excellently into the bottom left.

Having been upended in the area by keeper Tomas Vadik, Suarez then put this game out of reach from the penalty spot in the 63rd minute.

Sevilla struck next after 79 minutes when Pablo Sarabia's long range effort went in via a wicked deflection.

Ivan Rakitic re-established the three-goal cushion in the 88th minute with an excellent volley into the bottom left from the right corner of the 18 yard box.

Sevilla then grabbed a late consolation through Luis Muriel who finished smartly from the edge of the area into the bottom right.

Barcelona leapfrog Sevilla to move back to the top of the La Liga table with this win. It did come at a price though with Lionel Messi reportedly suffering a broken bone in his arm which looks set to rule the little magician out of El Classico.
