Inter Milan are flying in Serie A at present and head into Match Day 11 seeking a seventh win on the spin. The opposition as they bid to make it seven at the San Siro this weekend are a struggling Genoa outfit.

Genoa began the season in encouraging enough style, winning four of their first six in the league, but have gone off the boil a little since and arrive here winless in their past four. That run does include an away draw at Juventus though showing that they can be a match for the very best in the division on their day. They have however been poor on the road overall with just one away win in Serie A to their name in their past eleven games.

Inter had a sticky patch at home towards the end of last season, a run which carried over into the current campaign as they lost to Parma and drew with Torino. They seem to be finding their stride now though and have won their last three in front of their own fans.

Inter came out on top 1-0 in this game last season but Genoa gained their revenge when winning the reverse game 2-0.

No confirmed absentees for the home side as yet, although Radja Nainggolan may not be quite be ready to return to the starting line-up. Nicolás Spolli and Federico Marchetti miss out for the visitors.

Inter don't often blow teams away here, and likely wont here either. They are on such a good run at present though that we fancy Mauro Icardi and co will come away with the points.

Danilo D'Ambrosio and Lautaro Martinez were booked for the home side in this one, with referee Paolo Valeri also taking the names of Koray Gunter, Sandro and Miguel Veloso of Genoa.

Prolific frontman Mauro Icardi was given the afternoon off here for Inter Milan, but it didn't seem to hinder the home side as they simply blew Genoa away in what was a thoroughly dominant performance.

The opener came in the 14th minute. Really scruffy goal as Inter and Genoa seemed intent on playing ping pong in the area. The ball eventually breaking to Roberto Gagliardini to the left-hand side around seven yards out to sweep into the bottom right corner.

Two minutes later the home side doubled their advantage. Matteo Politano cutting across the defence as the ball was played forward to nip into the area and finish into the bottom right. Poor defending. 2-0 at the break.

The pattern of play remained the same after the break and Inter took just four minutes to extend their lead further. A long throw in from the right being flicked on by Gagliardini and Ivan Perisić seeing his prodded effort saved on the line. Gagliardini was following in through to smash home from the right-hand side of the six yard box.

Still 3-0 headed into the ninetieth minute, but in typical Inter style they managed to score twice more. Joao Mario first finishing into the bottom right from the edge of the area and then Radja Nainggolan getting on the end of a Mario cross from the right to head home from six yards. 5-0 final score.

Inter move back up into second with this win, ahead of Napoli on goal difference. Genoa sit eleventh ahead of Sunday's fixtures.
