One of the most eye-catching fixtures on Match Day 11 in Serie A comes at the Artemio Franchi as Fiorentina play host to Roma.

Fiorentina sit sixth in Serie A at present despite only winning four of their ten games to date. Without a win in their past three they will be keen to kickstart their season against one of their likely rivals for a top four spot.

Roma are going to need to find a bit of form of their own though if they are to fulfil those top four ambitions. Level on points with Fiorentina, their inferior goal difference sees them down in eighth position.

Fiorentina have been good at home this season, winning four and drawing one of their five games to date, scoring 13 times and conceding just twice.

Roma have been one of the most impressive away sides in the division for the past couple of seasons, losing only three of their past 31 games on the road.

Both of the games between these sides last season resulted in a win for the away side. Roma winning this game 4-2 and Fiorentina prevailing 2-0 at the Stadio Olimpico.

Diego Pertotti, Javier Pastore and Rick Karsdorp all look set to miss out for Roma. Fiorentina appear to be injury free headed into the game.

This looks an evenly poised match, but with the injury situation in their favour and the home support behind them, we will take Fiorentina to inflict a rare away defeat upon Roma.

Cristiano Biraghi, Jordan Veretout and Vitor Hugo were booked for Fiorentina, with referee Luca Banti also taking the names of Steven Nzonzi, Federico Fazio and Lorenzo Pellegrini of Roma.

A very even game on the stats - with Roma possibly just edging it by the narrowest of margins. In the ned though neither side can have too many complaints about having to share the points here.

Roma had the better of the early exchanges, with Edin Dzeko uncharacteristically blazing over when well placed in the area.

It was the home team who opened the scoring in the 32nd minute, although it was a goal largely of Roma's making. A woeful back pass from the right-hand side being latched onto by Giovanni Simeone who then attempted to round the keeper only to be brought down when his leg collided with keeper Robin Olsen's face. Penalty kick. Jordan Veretout doing the honours to finish into the left-hand side. 1-0 at the break.

Roma largely made the running in the second half but were unable to really fashion much in the way of clear-cut chances. Heading into the final ten minutes it looked as though Fiorentina may hang on for the win.

Roma did get their equaliser though and it came in the 85th minute. A cross being swung over from the left hand side and keeper Alban Lafont opting to clear with a diving punch. His clearance didn't make it out of the eighteen yard box though, falling to Aleesandro Florenzi to finish on the volley into the right hand side of the goal. 1-1 final score.

The sides remain dead even on points with Fiorentina eighth and Roma ninth in the Serie A table.
