Table toppers Borussia Dortmund slipped up a little last weekend when only drawing at home to Hertha Berlin, allowing the chasing pack to close the gap. They will be fully expecting to resume winning ways this weekend as they travel to Wolfsburg.

Wolfsburg have been just about breaking even so far this season, winning three, drawing three and losing three of their nine league games to date, scoring 14 and conceding 14. All of which sees them currently lie in 10th spot in the standings; a position they will very much be hoping to improve upon. They will likely face the sternest of challenges here though.

Dortmund won this game 3-0 last season, with the reverse fixture at the Westfalenstadion ending in a goalless draw.

Felix Klaus, Ismail Azzaoui, Ignacio Camacho and Josuha Guiillavogui are all out injured for the home side. Dortmund will also be missing four players with Jeremy Toljan, Lukasz Piszczek, Manuel Akanji and Marcel Schmelzer all unavailable here.

Wolfsburg have won just once in their past seven Bundesliga games. On the plus side that win did come in their most recent game, so perhaps they are coming into a bit of form. They are hardly a powerhouse at home though with just four wins in their past 24 Bundesliga games here, a run which seen them draw 11 times.

Burussia Dortmund are the only remaining unbeaten side in Germany's top division. It has now been 17 games since they tasted defeat in any competition.

It's Dortmund for us here. We like their chances of running Bayern pretty close this season, and if they are to do so then this is the type of game they need to be winning.

Prediction: Wolfsburg 2 - 3 Borussia Dortmund

Half time: 0 - 1
Full time: 0 - 1
Shots:  10 - 8
Shots on target: 3 - 2
Corner Kicks: 6 - 14
Possession: 45% - 55%

Two bookings in this one, both for the away side, with Dan Axel Zagadou and Thomas Delaney being the men to have their names taken by referee Daniel Siebert.

Wolfsburg certainly gave in-form Dortmund a good game here as they put it all in in front of their own fans. This was a game of few real clear-cut chances though and in the end Dortmund took one of theirs and Wolfsburg didn't, and that was the difference.

The only goal of the game came in the 27th minute. Borussia working the ball from right to left to free Jadon Sancho. The England man lofting in a good cross towards the far post which was headed back across goal by Thomas Delaney. Marco Reus arriving to head home from almost on the goal line.

More renowned for their attacking prowess, it was the other side of the game in which Dortmund were forced to excel in the second half as Wolfsburg were dominating possession and territory. This was a good effort from the home side, but a lack of guile in the final third - in combination with some solid defending from the visitors - was proving to be their undoing as they were largely being restricted to efforts from range.

This might not have been Dortmund quite at their barnstorming best, but fans will no doubt be encouraged to see them come out on top in this type of game as it certainly bodes well for their title chances.

Dortmund maintain the pace at the top of the Bundesliga and stay four points clear of the chasing pack at the end of Match Day 10. Wolfsburg slip down to 11th.
