Just about the pick of the fixtures in Serie A on Match Day 14 comes at the Stadio Olimpico as seventh placed Roma play host to third placed Inter Milan.

Inter Milan came away with an impressive 3-1 victory in this game last season, with the reverse fixture at the San Siro ending in a 1-1 draw.

Roma have significant injury concerns ahead of this one. Top scorer Stephan El Shaarawy misses out, as do star striker Edin Dzeko, Daniele De Rossi, and Lorenzo Pellegriin. Dalbert is the only confirmed absentee for Inter Milan.

Roma will be bidding to avoid a third defeat on the spin here having lost to Udinese last weekend and went down to Real Madrid in the Champions League in midweek. In truth though they gave as good as they got against Real and were much the better side against Udinese. They have lost just one of their last nine at home in the league.

Inter were also in midweek action in the Champions League, losing 1-0 at Tottenham. That was their second away defeat in a row having been stuffed 4-1 by Atlanta in their most recent away game in Serie A.

Roma have scored two or more goals in five of their past six Serie A home games.

Inter have already picked up a win against Lazio here this season, and with Roma suffering those key injuries up front, we fancy the Nerazzurri to get the job done gain here.

One booking apiece in this one with referee Gianluca Rocchi taking the names of Aleksandar Kolarov of Roma and Kwadwo Asamoah of Inter Milan.

A closely fought encounter in Rome, and whilst Inter carried on their good recent run of form and just about edged it on the stats, they can't really have to many complaints about coming away with only a draw.

It was Inter who took the lead in the 37th minute, breaking up the field moments after Roma had a strong appeal for a penalty turned down. Danilo D'Ambrosio found in space on the right-hand side and playing a low cross into the area. Former Lazio man Keita Balde getting on the end of it to finish into the bottom left from around six yards. 0-1 at the break.

Roma equalised in the sixth minute of the second half. Having missed an absolute sitter in midweek, Cengiz Under went some way to redeeming himself when picking up the ball around 30 yards from goal, turning inside and unleashing an absolute rocket into the right-hand side of the goal.

Inter regained the lead in the 66th minute. Mauro Icardi arriving to meet a corner from the left-hand side and thumping a header into the top right corner from the edge of the six-yard box.

The equaliser came in the 74th minute. Marcelo Brozovic penalised for a handball in the area and Aleksandar Kolarov stepping up to thump the ball into the bottom right. 2-2 final score.

Inter Milan move up to second with this point ahead of Napoli's clash with Atalanta in the last of the Match Day 14 fixtures. Roma continue to lie a little off the pace down in seventh spot.
