This certainly wont go down as a vintage season for Real Madrid as they continue to struggle to maintain any momentum. Down in fifth spot at present they are still only two points off a spot in the top four which is the absolute minimum requirement for the defending Champion's League title holders. Next up it's a trip to seventh placed Real Betis.

This was certainly a good game for the neutrals last season with Real Madrid coming on top 5-3.

Sidnei is the only injury absentee for the home side, but they will also be without Takashi Inui who is away on international duty. Toni Kroos, Gareth Bale, Marcos Llorente and Thibaut Courtois are all out injured for Real Madrid whilst Lucas Vázquez is suspended.

Betis are only four points behind Real Madrid headed into this game and won't have entirely given up on Champion's League qualification themselves. They will certainly be right back in the mix if they can pick up a win in this one. They have lost just twice at home this season, to Levante and Real Valladolid.

Madrid do appear to be playing better than earlier in the season but are still capable of throwing in a poor display and arrive here having slumped to defeat at home to Real Sociedad last time out. They have won just three of nine on the road overall this season.

It's hard to know what to expect from Real Madrid from one match to another but they may just struggle here against a useful Betis outfit, particularly with those injuries to key players.

Prediction: Real Betis 2 - 1 Real Madrid
