The most eye-catching fixture on Match Day 20 in Serie A comes in Naples as second placed Napoli continue their - surely vain - pursuit of Juventus with this home clash against fifth placed Lazio.

Napoli ran away with this game last season when coming out on top 4-1. They again proved superior to Lazio earlier in the current campaign when coming away from the Stadio Olimpico with a 2-1 victory.

Ill-discipline is beginning to cost Napoli dear with Kalidou Koulibaly, Lorenzo Insigne and Allan all suspended for this one, whilst Vlad Chiriches misses out through injury. Lazio will be without the suspended Adam Marusic.

Napoli have greatly impressed this season, particularly considering the summer changes and head into this game having lost only one of their past 12 in Serie A. They are still nine points behind Juventus though and will likely need a perfect end to the season to have any chance. They are unbeaten in their past 15 at home and have scored in all bar one of those games.

It is the Champions League which is the ultimate aim for Lazio, and currently in fifth and only a single point off the top four, it is a very realistic goal. Five draws in their past eight Serie A outings has dented their chances just a little, but they remain one of the best sides in the league - who are not called Juventus - on their day. They have lost three of nine on the road so far, at Juventus, Roma and Atalanta.

Napoli are a better side than Lazio, but the absence of Koulibaly and Insigne is a big blow. A blow begin enough to see Lazio come away with at least a point in our opinion.

Piotr Zielinski was the sole Napoli player to make his way into referee Gianluca Rocchi's notebook. Lazio meanwhile had Sergej Milinkovic Savic, Luis Alberto and Senad Lulic booked and Francesco Acerbi dismissed for a second bookable offence in the 70th minute.

Lazio gave a decent account of themselves here, going toe to toe with Napoli in the possession and shot count stats. Napoli's greater efficiency in front of goal was the deciding factor on the day though, and but for striking the woodwork three times, the hosts may well have been more comfortable winners in the end.

Lazio did start brightly but it was Napoli who struck first in the 34th minute. Jose Callejon played in to the right, breaking into the area and rifling an effort into the bottom right corner from just inside the box.

Three minutes later the home side doubled their advantage. Arek Milik lining up a twenty plus yard free kick to the right-hand side and planting an unstoppable effort into the top right corner. Great strike and 2-0 at the break.

Lazio pulled one back in the 65th minute. Ciro Immobile found in the left corner of the eighteen-yard box by Joaquin Correa. Immobile still had plenty to do with bodies in between himself and the goal but finished excellently into the bottom right corner.

No way back for Lazio though who weren't helped by being down to ten men for the final twenty minutes. 2-1 final score.

Napoli remain clear second best in Serie A but are still fully nine points adrift of runaway leaders Juventus. A blow for Lazio with this defeat seeing the Rome side drop down to sixth spot and two points off those all-important top four positions.
