There's a big one at the Stade Geoffroy Guichard on Match Day 23 in Ligue 1. Hosts Saint-Étienne currently occupy fourth spot and so qualify for the Europa League as it stands. Only three points off third though they will have their eye firmly on the Champion's League. Hot on their heels and only two points back in fifth are Strasbourg, and it is they who are the visitors here.

The sides couldn't be separated in their first meeting this season with the game in Strasbourg ending in a 1-1 draw. The game here last season also finished up all square, this time with a 2-2 score-line.

Ole Selnaes and Yann M'Vila are out for the home side, whilst Jonas Martin, Jeremy Grimm and Idriss Saadi are the players missing for Strasbourg.

Saint-Étienne have been one of the more consistent sides in the league this season and are yet to lose back to back games. A loss at home to Lyon and draw away at Nantes in their two most recent fixtures were both slightly disappointing results though and they will be looking to get back on track here. They have been largely excellent at home, winning eight of eleven - losing just once - and scoring two or more on eight occasions.

Strasbourg are likely to provide stiff opposition, particularly as they arrive here in their best form of the season to date. Four successive wins have sent them shooting up the table and they certainly have momentum on their side. They have lost only three times on the road, but have kept only one clean sheet.

This is a tough place to come but in-form Strasbourg can do enough to pick up a point in an entertaining draw.

Prediction: Saint-Étienne 2 - 2 Strasbourg
