League leaders Juventus are in the process of turning the race for the Serie A title into something of a procession this season with nine points back to Napoli in second. They can't afford to take their eye off the ball though and Match Day 23 sees them face a potentially challenging trip to eleventh placed Sassuolo.

Sassuolo did make a decent game of it in the reverse of this fixture, although Juventus did ultimately pick up the points courtesy of a 2-1 win in Turin.

The home side will be without the injured duo of Francesco Magnanelli and Marlon Santos in addition to the suspended Alfred Duncan. Giorgio Chiellini, Leonardo Bonucci, Juan Cuadrado and Andrea Barzagli are all out for the champions.

Sassuolo have just the one win in their past six in the league. That did come in their most recent game here though when seeing off Cagliari 3-0. They have scored two or more in six of their eleven home games, losing just twice at the hands of Milan and Atalanta.

With 19 wins and three draws from their opening twenty-two fixtures, Juventus stand tall as the only remaining unbeaten side in the top European leagues. They will no doubt already have their eye on going through the entire season undefeated, not that they seem to need any additional motivation. They were a little fortunate to prevail at Lazio in their latest away fixture, but that nevertheless took their tally to ten wins from eleven games on the road.

Those three injuries in defensive positions are a concern for Juventus here, particularly facing a side who can get amongst the goals. They usually do find a way to win, but we wouldn't be too surprised to see this one end up all square.

Giangiacomo Magnani, Mehdi Bourabia and Pol Lirola were all booked for the home side, with Miralem Pjanic and Alex Sandro of Juventus also making their way into referee Paolo Silvio Mazzoleni's notebook.

Another game, another win, for Juventus who are now unbeaten in 23 Serie A outings. This was a fully deserved triumph too, as even with those injury concerns, they displayed exactly why they are a cut above the rest in Serie A this season. Sassuolo simply had no answers and found themselves overmatched to a degree that hasn't happened too often this season.

Sassuolo were the authors of their own demise for the first goal. Attempting to play out from the back, keeper Andrea Consigli could only present the ball to Juve on the left. The ball eventually coming inside to Cristiano Ronaldo who blasted an effort on goal from the edge of the area. Consigli parried it but only into the path of Sami Khedira who slotted in the rebound from the right-hand side. 0-1 at the break.

The second arrived in the seventieth minute. Ronaldo arriving in customary style to meet a corner from the left and power a header into the right-hand side from around six yards.

Juventus then put a seal on matters four minutes from time. Nice play from the Old Lady, working the ball first through the middle and then from right to left. Ronaldo then playing in Emre Can in the left of area. Can firing back across goal and into the bottom right. 0-3 final score.

Juventus stay top and stretch their lead over Napoli to eleven points. No change in the standings for Sassuolo either who remain eleventh.
