A home win over PSG should really have been the result to send Lyon on a run to second spot and automatic Group Stage qualification for the Champion's League. Defeats to Nice and Monaco since that win however mean they are now looking over their shoulder as they bid to hang on to third spot. As such this home clash with lowly Toulouse will be a viewed as a game they really ought to be winning.

Eight points clear of the relegation zone Toulouse ought to be ok now, but can't afford to become complacent as the season heads towards its conclusion.

Toulouse held Lyon to a 2-2 draw in the reverse of this fixture. Lyon ran out relatively comfortable 2-0 winners in this game last season.

Amine Gouiri and Rafael are out injured for the home side. Jean-Clair Todibo looks like being the only absentee for Toulouse.

Lyon have won eight of thirteen in front of their own fans, with the only losses coming against Nice and Rennes. Their form has taken a dip since that win over PSG though and they struggled more than they should have done to overcome Guigamp here last time. They need to wake up quickly.

Toulouse have won just six times this season, but four of those successes have come on the road. They have at least scored in each of their last six away fixtures.

Lyon have such a class advantage in their squad that they should be - and probably will be - winning this one. Their recent performances suggest it may not be easy though.

Three cards in this one, all for the away side. Referee Thomas Leonard taking the names of Christopher Julien and Yannick Cahuzac and later dismissing Cahuzac in the 83rd minute.

What could have been a slightly tricky encounter for Lyon - whose form has been a little up and down of late - instead turned into a rout.

The opener came in the tenth minute. Memphis Depay working into the left of the area, jinking in and out and firing an excellent strike in off the right hand upright from a tight angle.

Five minutes later we were back on level terms. A deflected ball breaking nicely for Matthieu Dossevi to control past his marker, break into the right of the area and finish high into the left-hand side.

The home side regained the lead on the half-hour mark. Bertrand Traoré whipping a low cross into the area from deep on the right, which in the end evaded everyone and made its way into the bottom left.

Five minutes later there was daylight between the sides. Great skill from Nabil Fekir breaking into the right of the area only to be upended by Cahuzac. Penalty kick. Fekir himself stepping up to convert into the bottom left. 3-1 at the break.

The fourth arrived in the 67th minute. Excellent burst from Moussa Dembele into the left of the area before finish really well low into the bottom right.

Three minutes later Dembele grabbed the final goal of the game. Fekir free down the left flank and whipping a low ball across the six-yard box. Dembele on hand to finish from a couple of yards. 5-1 final score.

Lyon remain third and five points clear of Marseille in the race for the Champion's League. Toulouse are down in 15th but still eight points clear of the relegation zone.
