One of the most eye-catching games on Match Day 28 in Ligue 1 comes at the Stade Geoffroy-Guichard as fifth placed Saint-Étienne play host to second placed Lille.

Lille have no hope of catching PSG but do look to have locked up Champion's League qualification being ten points clear of fourth placed Marseille. Saint-Étienne won't have given up hope of Champion's League football themselves but do have six points to make up on Lyon on third. Three points here would greatly aid their cause.

Lille posted a comfortable 3-1 success in the reverse of this fixture but won't have fond memories of the game here last season having been battered 5-0.

Kévin Monnet-Paquet, Gabriel Silva and Yannis Salibur are all out injured for the home side. Lille look to be healthy headed into the game with no confirmed absentees at present.

Having gone unbeaten in their first ten at home, Saint-Étienne have now lost two of their last three here to PSG and Lyon. Will they be able to avoid another loss against one of the divisions big guns? They have scored two or more in nine of 13 at home and only conceded more than once on two occasions.

Lille started fairly slowly on their travels but have really found their stride now, winning five of their last six, with the only blip being a draw at Strasbourg in their most recent away fixture.

Lille only have only three clean sheets away and can be expected to concede here. We suspect that their excellent counterattacking play can see them pick up at least a point though.

Prediction: Saint-Étienne 2 - 2 Lille
