With Lyon winning in Rennes, the race for the final automatic Champion's League qualifying spot continues to be a tight one. Second placed Lille do still hold a one point lead over Lyon, but will be looking to open up a little more daylight with a win of their own this weekend. Next up for Nicolas Pépé and co it's this trip to 15th placed Nantes.

Currently nine points clear of the drop zone, Nantes ought to be ok at the end of what has been the most turbulent and traumatic of seasons. They can't afford to take their foot off the gas just yet though.

Lille picked up a 2-1 win in the reverse of this fixture. The game here last season finished up in a 2-2 draw.

Joris Kayembe is out injured for the home side, whilst Andrei Girotto is suspended. Jérémy Pied looks like being the sole absentee for Lille.

Nantes have been solid at home considering their league position, with only four defeats in their opening thirteen games.

Lille's nine game unbeaten run was brought to an end last time out as they surprisingly lost at home to Monaco. They have been on a good run on their travels, with six wins and a draw from their last seven, scoring two or more in four of those games.

Lille have the better side, will arguably be more motivated and are fancied to just about do enough here.

Prediction: Nantes 1 - 2 Lille
