Manchester City are still most peoples favourites to qualify from this tie, but that first leg result was an excellent one for Tottenham Hotspur, particularly as they didn't concede an away goal. Should Spurs get on the scoresheet here, that will really put the pressure on City.

City will be hoping to repeat the result of the game between the sides here last season which ended in a comfortable 4-1 success for Pep Guardiola's men.

City bounced back from defeat in the first leg with a 3-1 win away at Crystal Palace to keep their Premier League title bid on track.

Spurs rested a few at the weekend but also came out on top in their game when making short work of Huddersfield Town in a 4-0 home win - Lucas Moura grabbing a hattrick.

With Fernandinho nearing a return, Claudio Bravo is the only confirmed absentee for City at present. Eric Dier, Serge Aurier, Harry Winks and of course Harry Kane will be missing for Spurs.

City need to win this by more than one goal to progress within the ninety minutes, this is a feat they have achieved in 17 of their past 22 games here in all competitions.

Having lost six of their last seven in all competitions, Spurs recent away from would be a concern, and there are few tougher places to come than this. They have conceded two or more in six of those seven games, but have only lost by more than one goal on the road in three of 26 fixtures this season.
This may well be tough for Manchester City who will press forward as ever but face a dangerous counter attacking side in Spurs. We can see this going either way in terms of qualification, but will just favour City to get the job done in what may well be a thriller.

Prediction: Manchester City 4 - 2 Tottenham Hotspur
