It's games like this for which the Champion's League was made, as two the biggest, best, and most entertaining sides on the continent lock horns at the Nou Camp. It's Barcelona versus Liverpool in a mouth-watering clash.

This will be the eighth meeting between two of the traditional giants of the European game. Liverpool have narrowly held the edge in their clashes to date, with three wins to two for Barcelona.

Just the one injury for Barcelona with Rafinha set to miss out. Liverpool look set to be at full strength.

Both sides warmed up for the game with a win at the weekend. Barcelona beating Levante 1-0 and Liverpool hitting Huddersfield for five.

Barcelona are four from five at home in this competition this season, with the only slight blemish coming in a draw with Spurs when qualification was already in the bag. They have scored fifteen and conceded just two across those five games.

Liverpool lost all three away Group fixtures, to Napoli, Red Star and PSG, but have bounced back in the knockout phase with big wins at Bayern Munich and Porto.

This really does have all the makings of an absolute cracker. We actually rate Liverpool as the better side in terms of balance between attack and defence. Barcelona are a tough side to resist here though and may just take a lead into the second leg.

Prediction: Barcelona 3 - 2 Liverpool
