West Ham have improved with each game this season, and having picked up an impressive success away at Watford last weekend, will be biding to keep the good times rolling now that they return to the London Stadium. This weekend's visitors are Daniel Farke's entertaining Norwich City side.

This will be the first meeting between these sides since the 2015/16 season. There was nothing to split the teams that year, with both games ending in a 2-2 draw. Given Norwich's open style there may well be a few goals around once again.

The early evidence is that Norwich City aren't willing to change their style for anyone - and will likely live or die by the sword in that regard. It's an admirable approach, and one which has seen them perhaps predictably be outgunned by Liverpool and Chelsea, but blowing Newcastle out of the water. It will be interesting to see how they fare against a West Ham side who obviously aren't in Liverpool's class, but to do look better than Newcastle.

West Ham looked very dangerous granted time and space away at Watford - with new frontman Sebastian Haller bagging a brace - and may find themselves with room in which to work again in this one.

This looks set to be another Norwich City cracker, and whilst we see them getting on the scoresheet, we just like the Hammers attacking options that bit more.

Prediction: West Ham United 4 - 2 Norwich City

Ryan Fredericks and Robert Snodgrass were booked for the home side at the London Stadium, with referee Paul Tierney also taking the name of Max Aarons of the visitors.

This must go down as a rock-solid performance from West Ham United at home. Whilst most would have expected Manuel Pellegrini's men to pick up the points, they did so with relative ease in the end, against a Norwich side who - whilst looking permeable at the back - had caused problems for every defence they have come up against so far this season. Restricting the Canaries to only three efforts on target was a decent effort and bodes well for the Hammers going forward.

The Hammers took the lead in the 24th minute. Arthur Masuaku doing well to bring the ball out of defence and then carrying on his run to be picked out driving into the left of the area.  Smart ball across the edge of the six-yard box too, finding Sebastian Haller sliding in to finish down the middle from six yards.

The second goal arrived eleven minutes into the second half. Norwich getting themselves in a mess when attempting to play their way out of defence on the left flank, playing in Andriy Yarmolenko instead. The wide man breaking into the box and playing the ball inside. A tackle went in, but the ball bobbled up for Yarmolenko to lash into the top right corner from around seven yards out and to the right of the six yard box. Fine finish, and a really nice moment for Yarmolenko following all of his injury woes.

No way back for Norwich from there. 2-0 final score.
